"I put exceptional for food, because I think this place
has the best hamburger I have ever eaten, and their 10-oz monsters
have received critical acclaim, so it's not just me. Located
just west of Westport, Kansas City's alleged 'bar district,'
the Westport Flea market sports midtown's best tap selection,
and, in my opinion, most ecclectic atmosphere. It's far enough
away from Westport to be devoid of the hubris and pretense of
most well-tapped bars, and as such, manages to be an island
of reasonable prices in a sea of overpriced macros and mixed
drinks.
Located
ideally along the 51 bus line that runs from well before opening
until about 1AM, and sports a generous parking lot for the driving
types. If you're in Kansas City, this is a great place to spend
an afternoon. Now, you have no excuse if you're in town."
